התזמורת הסימפונית ירושלים והאופרה הירושלמית שמחות לשתף שוב פעולה בפברואר הקרוב, ולהביא לבמה מופע מרתק וייחודי העוסק בשניים מהנושאים השכיחים והחשובים באופרה (ובחיים): נאמנות ובגידה – האופרה תרז ראקן מאת המלחין הישראלי אהרן חרל"פ.
המופע כולל קטעים מאופרות ידועות בנושאי נאמנות ובגידה מאת בטהובן, מוצרט, פוצ'יני ודוניצטי, ובמרכז הערב – האופרה תרז ראקן, המציגה סיפור על אהבה אסורה ותוצאותיה המרות: נישואיה של תרז משמימים ונטולי האהבה, כאשר אורח חדש שמגיע אל ביתם מסעיר את ליבה. השניים מתאהבים, אך בדרכם עומדים מכשולים. זו הופעה חד פעמית בנוכחותו של המלחין אהרן חרל"פ. עומר אריאלי, מנהלה המוסיקלי של האופרה הירושלמית, ינצח על התזמורת הסימפונית ירושלים ועל זמרי האופרה הירושלמית: מימה מילוא, גדעון דבי, רונה שרירא, דימה עזאר, אסתר קופל, לב אלגרדט, מתן גנדלמן, חנן ליברמן ואשרי שגב.
האופרה תועלה בביצוע קונצרטנטי ותושר בעברית, עם כתוביות בעברית ובאנגלית.
ליברית: דנה גור, על פי הרומן הידוע של אמיל זולא בשם זה.

Loyalty and Betrayal
The Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra and the Jerusalem Opera are delighted to collaborate once again and bring to the stage a unique and exciting production concerning two of the most important and recurring themes in opera (and in life): loyalty and betrayal – the opera “Thérèse Raquin” by the Israeli composer Aharon Harlap. The performance includes pieces from well-known operas portraying the theme of loyalty and betrayal, by Puccini, Mozart, Beethoven and Donizetti. The opera portrays a story of forbidden love and its dire consequences. Thérèse’s marriage has become tiresome and loveless. A new guest arrives at their home and enflames her heart. They fall in love, but obstacles stand in their way. One performance only in the presence of the composer Aharon Harlap.
Omer Arieli, the Musical Director of the Jerusalem Opera will conduct the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra and the singers of the Jerusalem Opera: Mima Milo, Gideon Dabi, Rona Shrira, Dema Azar, Esther Kopel, Lev Elgardt, Matan Gendelman, Hanan Leberman, Oshri Segev.
The opera will be presented in concert version and the lyrics sung in Hebrew, with subtitles screened in Hebrew and English. Libretto by Dana Gur, based on the renowned book by Emil Zola by the same name.

The music of “Thérèse Raquin” is very accessible to the audience and expresses many emotions due to its power and strength. The very successful libretto effectively and successfully portrays the well-known novel. We are delighted to be working with the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra and their wonderful musicians”.
